BIOGRAPHY B.OLD

B.OLD is a music project between brothers in law. The project started about 2011 and at the end of 2013 came the album We Are B.OLD. The music is mainly inspired and influenced by rock, hard rock and blues rock from the 70’s and forward. The lyric tries to capture and depicture contemporary phenomenon as well as real and possibly fictitious events in life.

B.OLD consists of music creator Bengt Gunnarsson who also records and plays all instruments and the singer and lyric writer Bengt Estlind.

The music creator Bengt Gunnarsson has a previous background as a drummer in punk band Desperate Livin’. The band released an EP 1980 but was dissolved shortly after. He changed instrument from drums to guitar and played thereafter on sporadic occasions in a couple of hobby band. After a couple of years of not being involved in any music project it started again in 2009 when he started creating music and now made recordings using a computer. In 2011 the music refocused a bit and then his brother in law Bengt Estlind heard the first versions of the songs which later became “Hole in my soul” and “This is the end”. From that day on a new phase began and there was B.OLD.

The singer Bengt Estlind has a background as the singer of Wickman Fancy, a band started at his senior high school in 1988 and thereafter playing at different stages and parties in Stockholm. He was also a part in the acoustic duo Guitongo (he sang and played bongo drums) playing own versions of favorite songs. The duo twice played at a small stage at the Roskilde Festival in the beginning of the 90’s. Bengt was also one of the founders of the local music festival Långtarmsfestivalen held at former Bromma Gård in Svartsjölandet, Ekerö

ARCHIVE
Jul 29 - 2015   B.OLDs homepage is created

We are very proud to finally have created a website for B.OLD.
Currently, we are recording new songs for an upcoming album. It is however a bit slow since Bengt Gunnarsson right now is a little busy with the other band he plays with, Psychosomatic Cowboys.
